super obvious of course, but extremely common and weblio has it.

I encountered this as '..nodeha?', which seems to be an abbreviation of this, as suggested by native friend (and much less obvious.. :S), but can't find much about that..</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I think it has a range of meanings depending on the context. Go to https://www.edrdg.org/cgi-bin/wwwjdic/wwwjdic?10 and enter のではないか - you'll see 69 sentences using it, and in very few does it mean "isn't it...?".</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Either this gets hugely expanded to cover all the possible meanings and contexts, or it gets dropped. I think it's the latter.</upd_detl>
