<upd_detl>Also, the に in 満面に isn't adverbial; it marks an indirect object.
If the に is dropped, as in 満面笑みを浮かべる, 満面 becomes adverbial but I don't think "*with* one's entire face" is correct. You can't say something like 満面笑う.</upd_detl>
