<upd_detl>Very much 光 + 入力, but probably common enough. As a prefix meaning "optical" the reading is almost always ひかり. When searching for ひかりにゅうりょく, Google suggests 光入力. MeCab/Unidic agrees.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Which is why I never use Google with Japanese search terms without quotes. There is a clear mismatch between the n-grams and the Google returns, but the KM n-grams, which use better parsing, are similar. I don't know what's happening but there are enough real hits for me to accept it.</upd_detl>
