The correct term for the (non-musical) hashtag sign is パウンド.

<upd_detl>The question here is whether Japanese people use パウンド for the # symbol. The English Wikipedia entry is quite irrelevant.
I don't have access to 「モノのなまえ辞典」 and have no view of its level of authority, but I'd need evidence before accepting this new sense. It's not in any of the JE or JJ dictionaries I checked.
Also, it seems シャープ is used for the # hashtag, etc. symbol. I don't see a case for editing that entry.</upd_detl>
