<upd_detl>The Wiki article says: "五段活用以外の動詞と下一段型の助動詞に接続する", but I see plenty of cases where it does attach to a plain 五段 verb. I guess it's not an aux-v in those cases.
The three senses could be combined: "indicates speculation, will or invitation".</upd_detl>

typo.  I meant to say non-v5 (=カ変・サ変・一段)

When connecting to v5, 「う」 form is used　instead of「よう」.  
This fact may be useful to be mentioned.

See all types of such connections for all v5 variants:
「書こう、泳ごう、探そう、勝とう、死のう、遊ぼう、読もう、切ろう,
問おう、笑おう、行こう、言おう、買おう」. Even ラ行５特殊 ござる:なさ
る:くださる:いらっしゃる:下さる:御座る are chenged to

<upd_detl>Thanks for the clarification. I was going to argue these senses shouldn't be included because it's a conjugation for only a limited set 
of verb classes (一段 and する/くる?) and we don't have similar entries for -そう, -とう, etc. which should be equally valid... but I 
realized these senses are actually included in daijs' and daijr's よう entries and we do actually have an entry for "た" ("indicates past 
tense") in JMDict as well.

My preference would still be to follow GG5's example to not include these senses and also not have an entry for た, but I guess that'd be 
a topic for the mailing list instead of the comment section of this one entry.

In the meanwhile, I've tried improve the 3 senses because I don't think the definitions/notes were very clear. I've moved the previous 
glosses into usage notes and added actual glosses. To what extent the glosses are helpful, I'm not sure, but until the separate issue of 
glossless senses are resolved, maybe this will do. I also moved the previous sense 1 to sense 3 as I think it's the least common aux-v 
usage (if that's indeed the correct PoS).
