<upd_detl>i think it's incorrect kanji for 精練 for the senses added. all japanese dictionaries specifically say something like 動植物の繊維から脂肪などの混じり物を除去すること. they always specifically mention fibres

i suppose it's easier to add the sense here than to add 精練[iK] to the entry for 精錬 (which would create two entries with identical headword/reading combos)</upd_detl>
