<upd_detl>I mention this on the 待機 entry too but I 
don't think 待機 is normally used for fixed 
periods of waiting  (like this quarantine is) 
but a stand-by wait. 
Is quarantining a period of waiting? Sure, but 
that's not all it is, it has a specific 
purpose and also includes various restrictions 
on movement and behavior. If a translator 
translated the below mhlw.go.jp use of the 
word as "waiting time" rather than 
"quarantine" I don't think they should be 
working as a translator.</upd_detl>
