and the only difference, really, is that they are more

<upd_detl>i don't really like having entries for most of those either... they really are kanwa elements. there's something to be said for that commonness element as a criterion for inclusion too.  i don't know if we have a policy on inclusion of these</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>fair enough, but there eventually has to be some cut-off based on common understanding.  everyone knows 仏, but could 白 be used in the same context without confusing most of the readership?</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>From my understanding, it seems unlikely it'd be widely 
understood enough to be used by itself in a newspaper 
headline, but then again that could obviously be said of 
a lot of words which still belong in the dictionary.

mostly it appears together with outher country names and 
I wasn't able to find any evidence of it being used 
entirely by itself, but that's possibly because there are 
so many false positives what with 白 having quite a lot

<upd_detl>yes, i think the only way anyone would normally understand this to mean belgium as a standalone term is when it's listed alongside a bunch of obvious countries.  it's a pretty questionable inclusion, and i think it belongs as kanwa, but since kanjidic only has "white" for 白, it should go in either here or there</upd_detl>

I do not know whether the pronunciation しろ is used the same, or whether it refers to the tile only.
