<upd_detl>Yes, I suppose the counter is read かかん with the numbers 1-10 and にっかん for most numbers > 10.
I'm not sure if the counter should be part of this entry or have its own entry.
(One could argue that it is a bit A+B, but I think it might confuse people if we have 日間(ひあい) and not 日間(かかん,にっかん).</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>In contemporary Japanese, 日間 is always preceded by a number and read かかん/にちかん, meaning "~ days".
This entry and 2827650 (日間/にっかん) are both archaic. I think they should be deleted so as not to cause confusion. None of the occurrences of 日間 that have furigana in Aozora Bunko is read ひあい or にっかん. And 日合い gets zero hits.
The edit history says I've removed an x-ref but I haven't; it's just that the entry was deleted.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I quite understand the confusion when one encounters 日間 in text, but I'm reluctant to toss out entries which are there in the kokugos.
I think a better approach is to revive the deleted 日間/かかん/にちかん. Then people encountering 2日間 or whatever will get the full story.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>The problem with 日間/かかん/にちかん is that, unlike 週間 and 年間, it's not really a word. 2日間 is 2日+間, not 2+日間.
I don't think there's an issue with deleting these archaic entries. No one will miss them.</upd_detl>
