<upd_detl>Daijr has the headword as アジア, with a note at the very end of the entry saying 亜細亜とも書く.
There’s no entry for 亜細亜 in wisdom.
The JP wiki page for アジア makes no mention of 亜細亜. 
Should we make アジア the primary headword/reading here? If not, maybe we could do so in a separate entry?</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I don't feel a need to change this. With the "nokanji" tag on 亜細亜 we are really saying that the Japanese term has two forms: (a) 亜細亜 which is read あじあ, and (b) アジア. This is consistent with our style and microstructure.
A possible change is to drop the あじあ entirely. We do that for a number of ateji placenames (see the 盤谷 entry), but in this case the あじあ form is not uncommon, and probably should be retained.</upd_detl>

I think Robin's suggestion works well because it retains the ateji information but makes it clear that アジア is the most common form, and as he said, this would be in line with other similar
