<upd_detl>I think I lean against including "net lynching"/"Internet lynching" - the term lynching is just not used very frequently to 
describe this phenomenon in English, maybe because the word is just too sensitive in the US. "online lynch mob" on the other 
hand is at least somewhat more common (it registers in the google ngrams)</upd_detl>

ネットリンチは限りなく和製英語に近い言葉
ネットリンチはmob lynching、internet lynchingという言い方がなされていると書かれたものもあります。
ところが、“internet lynching”で検索しても、1,130件しかひっかからず、「英語圏では、「Internet Lynching（インターネット・リンチ）」や
「Virtual Mobbing（バーチャル・モブ）」と呼ばれている」とするこのサイトがGoogleの検索結果のトップに来てしまいます。

対して日本語の「ネットリンチ」は18万8000件ですから、百倍以上使われています。この差がリンチの意味の差だと見ていいでしょう。

ただし、この記事も間違っているわけではない。日本語の「ネットリンチ」に該当する言葉がInternet Lynchingだとしているのではなく、「ネット死
刑」がInternet Lynchingとしています(見出しでは「ネット私刑」)。「ネット死刑」「ネット私刑」という言葉はあまり使わず、それを言うなら「ネ
ット処刑」かと思いますけど、これに該当するのがInternet Lynchingとする認識は正しい。
