for all of these "days of the month" entries.

<upd_detl>How about using words just for sense 2 (for one to ten)?
"four days", etc. looks better to me but days of the month are typically written using numbers (i.e. "4th March"/"March 4th" is more common than "fourth of March"/"March fourth").</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I quite agree on sense 2. For sense 1 I'd prefer having "fourth day of the month" as well, as to me it is not the same pattern as "4th March"/"March 4th".

<upd_detl>The Japanese is really just "the fourth/4th (day)". We're adding "of the month" for clarity. But I'm not too bothered either way.
I don't think we need both forms on the same sense, at least not for sense 2.</upd_detl>
