<upd_detl>一すじ is used, a little, but less than the 'all kana' version. I recommend it be rejected (but I'm leaving it open for others to have the chance to comment).

"一筋です" 80,000 Google hit estimate (actual > 1000)
"一すじです" 14,200 Google hit estimate (actual > 1000)
"一すじです" 63 Google hit estimate (actual = 33)</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I'm not sure I understand what the distinction is between: "一すじです" (actual > 1000) and "一すじです" (actual = 33). That aside, I don't think that rare kana usage should be deleted but perhaps tagged as ik. Almost all of the kana usages that I add are taken from native sources. In this case, it comes from 銀河鉄道の夜 by 宮沢 賢治. I think it should be noted that the Internet represents only part of Japanese usage. I think that word or kana usages that are used by native sources should be included even if they're slightly uncommon.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>> "一すじです" (actual > 1000) and "一すじです" (actual = 33).

The difference was that one of them was a copy and paste error. The 'middle' figure was that for +"ひとすじです".

> That aside, I don't think that rare kana usage should be
> deleted but perhaps tagged as ik.

The point is that all words with more than one kanji could, theoretically, be valid with every combination kana vs. kanji for each and every kanji. I don't want to clutter the database display with those that are hardly used at all. (I think that at some point there might have an exchange between Jim and me about a suitable cut off point, but I don't recall the conclusion reached - if any)</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Personally, I think 一すじ should be kept. "一すじの" gets 16000 google hits and 31000 yahoo hits. i didn't check to see how many were 'real' but it's at least a few hundred google hits (inc. some false positives of course).</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I think if 一すじ is being used, it's worth recording. Especially as it's an orthographical variant of a reasonably common word. One of JMdict's strengths is its inclusion of non-canonical forms.</upd_detl>
