民主党代表選のさなか、紙面でよく目にしたのが「政治とカ
ネ」。この１カ月間で、なんと２００回以上、朝日新聞に登場
した。

１９８５年以降、朝日新聞で「政治とカネ」と書かれた記事は
約４１００本。一方、「政治と金」は約６００本だった。圧倒
的に「政治とカネ」の方が多い。

新聞やテレビで、このところ毎日のように出てくる言葉に、

「政治とカネの問題」

があります。この場合の、

「カネ」

ですが、まず間違いなく「カタカナ」で「カネ」。漢字で
「金」ではありません。そして「お」は付かない。「おカネ」
ではありません。そう考えると、カタカナ表記の「カネ」は、
特別な用語なのかもしれません。

文脈・意味を考えると、この「カネ」は「政治」にかかわるも
ので、しかもどちらかと言うと、
