<upd_detl>I tend to inclusion on expressions when there is a reasonable chance they are not obvious, or when the "Text Glossing" function can't handle them.
In this case I can't see it being more than the sum of the parts, especially now I have put "public" as the first gloss of 公(の), and upgraded the 場 entry in the glossing file. E.g.:
- 公の from 公 【おおやけ】 (adj-no) public; open; official;  formal ...
- 場 【ば;じょう】 (ば) place; spot; space (2) field; discipline ...</upd_detl>
