<upd_detl>Why? Mustelids is just the English for Mustelidae (Latin). Harmless. Useful for English lookups.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>It's my understanding that X-ids refer to X類 rather than X
科, i.e. members of the 科, rather than the 科 itself. I 
thought I saw a 科 entry where Rene had removed the "X-id" 
gloss giving an explanation like that but I couldn't find it 
looking through entries ending in 科 now, so it might have 
been a different kind of entry. But if "mustelids" is 
accepted here, shouldn't ideally each 科 entry have an -"id" 
gloss as well?</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Yes, I agree that "mustelids" should not be a gloss.  (It refers to the animals themselves as opposed to the family.)</upd_detl>
