<upd_detl>Full-kanji form appears to be possible but very uncommon, so
I wanted to add (uk), but katanaka+kanji is very common so I
don't know what to do :)
The two Latin names are official alternatives for the same
family, not different families. The two species are
examples from the family, should they really be in this
entry? "Mangosteem" was already on Edict, but the Japanese
family name is taken from (a close relative of) St. John's
wort.</upd_detl>
