(Used in conversation today (referred to hearing from an old lover, and feeling a flood of emotions about the fond memories of their time together), hard to give idiomatic translation.)

There’s also the noun 「胸キュン」 (this is what was initially used), and it’s on my list of “words to add later” (ja:WP page, 13,300,000+ hits).</upd_detl>
