<upd_detl>I am not sure if you can make a correction in the following "examine" kanji section:-

敢 [JIS] 343A [Uni] 6562 [部首] 66 [教育] 8 [画数] 12  [音] カン  [訓] あ.えて あ.えない あ.えず  [英]  daring; brave; bold

It seems to me that it should not have the negatives in because as the main entry above shows, the description is wrong for the negatives.

Also in the link:-

あえない (etc.) See: 逢う 会う 合う 遭う

This does not take the searcher to the above main entry in addition to those stated.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I'm reluctant to chop out the あえない, etc. readings. Many kanwas have them, although 広辞苑 only has あえて. One day I hope to align the readings and meanings, and that will group あえて with the positive ones and あえない with the negative.
The original 訓読み was あう (i.e. ふ), but now the negative base only is used.</upd_detl>
