<upd_detl>The n-grams are saying that 一段 forms are more common in the WWW. Yes, I think it's best to split. I see the kokugos say that both しける and しっける are 一段, but only しける is 五段.
Not sure the note is still needed. It's not mentioned in the references.</upd_detl>
