<upd_detl>Isn't the ring finger ("digitus annularis", "digitus medicalis") the fourth finger, anatomically speaking (from thumb to pinky), and not the third as currently stated in the meaning section ?

Seems to be the "third" finger in guitar fingerboard, but it's the fourth finger in piano fingering.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>All my JEs say "third finger", but I suspect they don't count the thumb. Kojien is clear: "親指から四番目、小指の隣の指".</upd_detl>
