At any rate, I think 帰米 basically means what GG5 says: "return to the United States". I came across the word today in the following context:
27日に帰米しますのでそれ以降またお会いしましょう。

I do find the following, however:
ニセイには英語しか話せないものも少なくなく、さらに「キベイ」(帰米組)という、アメリカ生まれだが日本育ちという人々もいて、彼らは英語がほとんど分かりませんでした。

But I think that sense of 帰米 should be regarded as secondary, and should be described as a "term used to refer to" those children rather than a "name given to" those children.</upd_refs>
