<upd_detl>I think it's good to cut out all the encyclopedic stuff, but the proposed abbreviated definition doesn't clearly indicate that ヒロポン is a brand name, which seems like an important detail. The Wikipedia

<upd_detl>The Wikipedia article titled メタンフェタミン says "ヒロポン® (Philopon) とは、...". The ® symbol after the word ヒロポン implies that ヒロポン is a registered trademark. 

The proposed JMdict definition says Philopon is a registered trademark, but doesn't say that ヒロポン is. It defines ヒロポン as a common noun (methamphetamine) *derived from* a proper noun (the brand name Philopon), not as a 
word that can itself be a proper noun.  

I think the ルミナス和英辞典 definition is not bad: ヒロポン (商標名) Philopon; (薬品名) methamphetamine. 

How would you do that in JMdict? Maybe like this?
