<upd_detl>I'm pretty sure that's a nominalising こと; it doesn't mean "thing". The definition translates to "amusing (someone)" but I can't see it being used with that meaning without する. I suggest "amusement", which is very general. Definitely obscure. I can't find any examples.</upd_detl>
