　近世においては、同族内婚、同業者内婚を特徴として
いました。

　「明治期以前の婚姻を一括りにすることはできない
が、近世商家にあっては、同族や親戚の間の内婚、ある
いは同業者内婚を一つの特徴とする。

Does "naikon" refer to the practice of 
endogamy, or to an endogamic marriage? I
