Paul Blay's original URL ref. has expired, but it contained "あと店にもよるのかもしれないけど、ゴキブリのことは「花子さん」と呼んでました。" Searching for combinations of 太郎さん and ゴキブリ brings up similar information, e.g. the site above . which says, among other thinsg, "実はこれ、主人から聞いたことがあります。本当に使っているようですよ『太郎さん』という隠語。これはゴキブリを指す言葉で、お客さんを不快にさせないようにするためなんです。そりゃそうですよね。"</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I'm just not sure secret industry code words are worth including in a dictionary unless they're very well known or have entered common usage.
The site above lists the following code words for cockroach: みのさん、しげるくん、太郎、花子、テラフォーマーズ、ぴかちゅう、五木、黒い隣人.
If we're keeping 太郎さん, I see no reason not to add the others as well. (But I'd much rather we had none of them).</upd_detl>
