<upd_detl>possibly debatable, but no japanese dictionary i possess treats this as a suffix; it's kanwa in all that have it (poss. because it's the on'yomi).  also not in gg5 or eijiro.  suggest it be deleted as kanwa</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>It went in in 2007 because of コレステロール値. We also have コード値 and a heap of other terminating 値/ち examples, even GI値. Looking on I see データ値, デフォールト値, パラメタ値, バイト値, ヌル値, etc.
I realise that Japanese lexicographers are not treating it as a suffix, but I feel if it's waddling like a duck and quacking like a duck ....</upd_detl>
