<upd_detl>I'm ok with a た entry like this. I think it needs to be replicated as another sense/senses of the だ entry.
Do we need all 4 senses? I'm inclined just to have "indicates past or completed action". Sense 3 (according to the Wiki page) seems to be more for たら, which is already an entry. Dunno about sense 4 - never heard of it. I know of て/で being an imperative.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>i don't know what "soft subjunctive situation" means.  senses 1 and 2 can surely be combined.  i can vouch for sense 4.  it's what is meant when someone says "ちょっと待った" to you.  i think it may be slightly old-mannish or parentish, but i'm not sure</upd_detl>

but we've already merged で from 急いで with the copula form of で, so to be consistent the だ from 急いだ should be merged with the copula form of だ</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>we have been pretty consistent about trying to follow kokugos (and japanese handbooks of grammar for english speakers) in including entries for parts of speech like this.  i strongly think they should all be kept.</upd_detl>
