<upd_detl>I am guessing as to a concise meaning here. See reference
for further information.

Speaking of the singing of cicadas, I have this example: な
んか遠くで鳴りっ放しのアラームがエコーきかしてるみたいな</upd_detl>

<upd_refs>for the record, i checked meikyo. it is the only of my sources that specifies a pos for -っぱなし entries, and it reports noun for all four of its entries, with no evidence that they consider it an exp:
あけっ‐ぱなし【開けっ放し(明けっ放し)】 = 名・形動
うちっ‐ぱなし【打ちっ放し】 = 名
かちっ‐ぱなし【勝ちっ放し】 = 名
やりっ‐ぱなし【▽遣りっ放し】 = 名

the only relevant entries with specified pos in daijs/daijr are also n, with none called 連語:
開けっ放し/明けっ放し = [名・形動]
遣りっ放し =[名・形動]

even if you do consider it verb stem + suffix, as opposed to noun + suffix, we don't consider those expressions. E.g., 乗りにくい is an adj-i, not exp,adj-i</upd_refs>
