<upd_detl>Hi, as I understand it, after the volitional form of a verb, とする (or at least the form としている) can also mean "be about to do something". If I'm correct, perhaps this meaning could be added?</upd_detl>

I think this entry is rather over-split. GG5 and Daijirin only have 3 senses. We have 800+ sentences using it, and I'd hate to re-index them.</upd_detl>
