<upd_detl>It appears there are two different 瀉下 words, "しゃか" and "しゃげ". The original glosses belonged on the latter.
The Kokugos only have しゃか; GG5, LSD, etc. only have しゃげ.
I'll add a しゃげ entry.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>that's odd, because life says 瀉下薬 and 瀉下剤, both meaning
laxatives, are read しゃげ rather than しゃか. (knew this but
didn't add the しゃげ reading because I couldn't find it by
itself in any online dic)
I just realized catharsis can refer to bowel movement too, so
that was probably the intended meaning?</upd_detl>
