Oops.. forget the ざり thing I misread the entry.  Should
say this:

The 大辞林 says that ざる is an archaic negative verb
ending, that has survived into modern language.  The 
連体形 (participle adjective?) form is ざり. Modern
equivilants are -
ず or -ない.
