JMdict passes 185,000 entries.

In May last year I wrote:

Last week it reached 185,000, so we're adding entries at about
3,000 per year.

As I also commented last year:
> most of the activity is in correcting and improving existing
> entries (and occasionally deleting erroneous ones.)
