Correct, as it's tagged "adj-na" (i.e. 形容動詞) in JMdict.

The "adj-na" applies to the *whole* of 柔らか; not just 柔. You can't
break a word up into kanji and okurigana portions and have different
PoSs for the parts.

The list of PoS codes can be found at:
http://www.edrdg.org/wwwjdic/wwwjdicinf.html#code_tag  I'm not aware of
any PoS with an "odd syllable in the middle of the word", but if you look
through the list you may be reminded.
