Summarizing so far:

JL rightly points out they are not fields, and suggests things like
"zool" and "bot", which are fine with me.
Nils has made a number of good suggestions: "law", "med" (which I'd
interpret broadly to include anatomy, etc.), "fin", "eng", "Shinto". I'd
add "geol", "astron", "music", all of which have a lot of in-line annotations
at present.
