I have put a red "New!" on it.

But isn't that what it is?

Note you can put your email address and name in the cookie and not have to
tyoe it again.

Well, you get a confirmation screen. What would an emailed version add?
I have been treating the presence of an email address as a request for
an email once the update is in. I use a script to send out a standard
ACK message, to which I can add. Further down the track there
should/could be a checkbox where people could ask for an ack once an
amendment goes live.

Me.
