Do you mean I should add "TempSUB" to the ones I have included in the
update file?

This dialogue may mystify some people who don't read the sci.lang.japan group.
New entries coming in via the WWW form get added to the end of the file
at http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/newsubs with the tag
"TempSUB" at the end. That file gets added to the end of the EDICT file
used by WWWJDIC, and the WWWJDIC server detects the "TempSUB" and inserts
the message "(NB: User-submitted entry, awaiting verification)" In fact
if you look up "TempSUB" (or tempsub) in WWWJDIC, you get all such pending
words.
The conversion of the newsubs file into the database format is not
completely automatic, as I have to do things like set up the kanji/reading
restrictions (if any) or build the s_inf entity by hand. When I see that
such intervention is needed I'll add "FIX" and a comment after the TempSUB,
as WWWJDIC supresses that text.
