Multiple dictionaries (daijr/s, shinsen) have 点す as a valid form for sense 1, and the n-grams show that it does get some real usage.

The editorial policy for the [sK] tag is that it should be used for typos, mazegaki forms, obsolete forms not specified in any references, etc.

The 点す form is cross-referenced from the entry for 差す. I'm very fussy about not having hidden forms used in cross-references, so I think it's best if 点す isn't hidden here.

I don't particularly want to make this more complicated but we aren't 100% consistent on using katakana or hiragana for readings where the word is usually written in katakana but is not a 外来語. i.e. ハメ is from 嵌め(る) - so should the reading be given as なまはめ?

"elegant" seems like the obvious #1 gloss. Maybe you'll have some other options. See for comparison:
