|
| Comments: | (a) no problem putting うそうそ/ウソウソ into a separate entry. I added them here in 2013 on the basis of GG5, etc. simply pointing to うろうろ. I'll set up an entry for them, (b) Yes, I've looked at that email thread on PoS/gloss structure for these beasties. It's the not-uncommon problem that Daijirin tags it as "( 副 ) スル", but GG5 and the other JEs only have する/して/etc. glosses and examples. Daijirin has an adverbial sense and two vs senses which match the two in GG5, so I'll propose a similar 3-way split. |

| Comments: | Encountered as katakana, macos IME default is katakana Context: Someone behind the listener in a small cafe closed their book to use the restroom. Nothing dramatic, merely discernible. Our backref from パタン has "with a snap". weblio and the hinative ref both indicate "without much of a sound". That matches "clink", but not "flop". Best of chatgpt's translations was: “He heard the faint snap of a book shutting.” |

| Comments: | "receipt" meaning "recipe" is pretty uncommon. Cambridge doesn't list that meaning, merriam-webster has it, but pretty far down. Even saito disambiguated it in its gloss 100 years ago Struggling to find any real usage examples. No results in any ninjal corpora, nothing on youglish or reverso, not even eijiro. Not in any of my refs apart from saito. Even in the NDL there are barely any non-false hits, and of the few real ones I saw, none were cooking related. And before googleAI overview gets quoted again, I checked it and all of its information comes from sites talking about 仕様書. None of its sources mention 仕方書, nor does it give a definite reading. This needs a tag |

| Comments: | Hematin and hemoglobin are not the same, the former is a derivate of the latter and typically only found in pathological circumstances. I think GG5 is wrong here, it's 3:1 on hemoglobin. I can't find much currency for this anyway, most search results are chinese, japanese ones are dictionary sites.
