| Comments: | A majority of refs simply go with two senses how we had it previously. (1. burden; 2. load) sankoku and iwakoku have the medical sense, which is field-specific, so that's worth bringing out. However, only sankoku has a sense for labor specifically. Senses can be split many different ways, but in this case, I think we should go with the majority since it is not strongly present in examples, etc. |

|
| Comments: | This seems to have a plethora of uses, rather difficult to combine them and avoid redundancy at the same time. I don't think it's expedient to attempt and split the "load" sense into multiple based on field tags. I see this in multiple technical references all with different areas of expertise. Best to have field examples in the gloss instead. However, I believe the second and third sense should still be separate. I saw something like this "また、消費電力量。" in multiple references, not sure how to, or if it should be integrated |

There are numerous possible references out there, and if the first one we check does not support your edit, then we have to keep checking through references until we find one that does. It is a matter of simple courtesy, and not an onerous burden. If you're taking time to submit a change, then take the slight additional time to supply rationale or a reference. |

Also adding karuta glosses for 名人戦、クイーン and a new entry クイーン戦 which I will reference to each other when done so this will have another edit. I don't play shogi or go so I don't have a strong opinion on their glosses, and the references I've added there are just suggestions |

Trendy youtube video on the subject of where to place them, and what to include (when doing calligraphy): https://youtu.be/8EXwN8ZbB48?t=87 |
|
| Comments: | "sign and seal" seemed somewhere between a noun and a verb gloss. This term is usually a noun.
This is what artists do when completing a piece of calligraphy or painting, etc. "upon completion" is baked into the word. (落 abbreviated from 落成).
Does not appear to be a signature alone... Sign, then stamp. Though the use of "また" in kokugo definitions seems a little confusing ("in addition" vs. "or else"). The stamp certainly seems integral in any example I can find.
sankoku:
(完成したしるしに)書画に筆者が署名をし、また、印をおすこと。また、その署名や印。 |

| Comments: | Hmm, I see. I do still think it's better to use that as a separation criterion. But I can say very little else since I have no knowledge of karuta Someone who happened to find よみて in this context will still get the information necessary from the other entry. Also I don't believe that's what [sk] is usually used for |
|
| 4. | A* 2025-07-04 16:17:02 Jai | |
| Comments: | Only reason I added it was because on googling e.g. 「競技かるた どくしゅ よみて」 there are some results giving both as readings for 読手 in the competitive karuta context, so although I always hear どくしゅ I'm not 100% sure that よみて isn't acceptable. I don't have a strong opinion on what this should mean for the entry - whether よみて should be a normal reading, search-only, or not at all - but hopefully this is useful information at least |
|
| 3. | A* 2025-07-03 20:29:17 Sombrero1 | |
| Comments: | That note is odd, can be incorporated into the glosses. よみて is in the other entry, since those are different as per your reasoning and experience in playing it shouldn't direct to this entry as well. This would blur the line again. The bidirectional xref does the job in that regard |
