Well, let's use this pattern for now.

I think it's necessary to have "ku(ru)" and not just "kuru". Since that would be leaving out the classical side of this term, it refers to both. 
A learner who encounters this term will most likely be at the point where they understand what that means.

I'm having second thoughts about using "stem", since sahen and kahen technically have no "stem" (語幹). Because the stem is the noninflecting part of the word. E.g. for nahen しぬ the stem is し
In that regard "k-irregular" may even be better (or perhaps k-base).



Also, related to sahen, I've seen two verbs recognized as proper "sahen" a few times now. The second being 死す. A situation similar to あり, はべり, etc.

I suggest this be the pattern for those entries.

Since this is retained in modern Japanese and there is only "one" member, I think this note is appropriate. 
Also I believe it is frequently taught to L2 Japanese learners that "kuru" and "suru" are the only irregular verbs.

Also, again, the previous gloss was not quite accurate since this technically refers to both く and くる. Hence me writing "ku(ru)" in the note to cover both.

Either way I agree with what Jim has said. Seems like the relevant sense is already in the いい and よい entries and thus no further amendment is needed.

I've come to the view that it's not needed or appropriate. Also the "after the -te form" is not actually correct as it incorporates part of that form.

The more I think about it, maybe this doesn't make sense as an entry. This expression isn't even completely exclusive to verbs, for example, 水でいいですか.

I think if it does stay the note should simply say "after the -te form." Even though that's still a little awkward.

It seems to be a specific biology term used to refer to dolphins when nursing. I saw it used in a NHK documentary on TV about the dolphins from this aquarium: https://ioworld.jp/aqua/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/newsletter58.pdf

It is a very specific word that doesn't seem to show up in most J-J dictionaries, but I think it's being used in this field and does exist (disclaimer: I'm not a biologist) and the kanji combination seems obvious enough to me.
