Sense three on から is definitely 接続助詞, sense one and two are 格助詞.
I'll read up on 国語文法 some more when I have the time for it before I go applying tags in various entries.
However, an important thing to note is, that while we only have 助詞 and 接続詞 as PoSs, the kokugos and 国語文法 in general has a 接続助詞 PoS.
This makes it odd for tagging in JMdict since it is then necessary to have the combination of [prt, conj] indicate that the given sense falls under the 接続助詞 PoS. Since 接続助詞 are neither just 助詞, nor are they fully 接続詞.

In that same fashion we also lack a way to indicate 副助詞.

I don't think both explanatory glosses should be kept, but I'm not sure which is better. I think the first reads easier but the second is more precise (although if the note is kept, that would add enough explanation to not need the precision of the second one)

Also not sure how this should interact with sense 1... but the definition is substantially different from the definition in non-competitive karuta so I guess a new sense is the best way

Once this is approved I will add an entry for 送り札 (sent card) which will reference and be referenced by the new sense

I did not think any references would be needed, It is formally classified as a 接続助詞 just about everywhere: daijs, daijr, smk, meikyo, koj...
  Comments:
ば's primordial function is to connect two clauses, clause A to clause B, where A is in some manner precedent to B, this should be in line with the citation you have just provided of a conjunction.

Additionally, I do not see how these definitions would - or even could - be mutually exclusive: every single conjunction has a grammatical aspect to it, it must always form a syntactically subordinating or coordinating relation in between the two linked items; dismissing [3] as an omission of clause B, and with the potential exclusion of [2], ば falls into the former type.
I must also bring to attention that the definition of a conjunction provided is vague and potentially problematic, for example: how does it deal with a coordinating conjunction between two nouns? ”僕と君と...”or anything following the same structure will be constituted of two words that are not particularly large units of meaning, certainly not clauses, and I do not think most would consider each a phrase. Would と cease to be a conjunction? would also または or および? This is not limited to Japanese either, you can just as easily take "Me and you..." and the same problem arises.

Lastly, not classifying ば as a conjunction makes the corpus inconsistent: other terms formally classified as 接続助詞 such as と, けれども and its variants have both [conj] and [prt] on their entries; notably, なら and たら both directly derive from ば and are classed as [conj] (though the former's entry is itself a tad inconsistent).
Now, as the meaning does not change even in their original forms of ならば and たらば, if ば is not a conjunction, what is it? or rather, if it is not, how are they?

Wikip: When the core is subjected to a changing magnetic field, as it is in devices that use AC current such as transformers, inductors, and AC motors and alternators, some of the power that would ideally be transferred through the device is lost in the core, dissipated as heat and sometimes noise. Core loss is commonly termed iron loss in contradistinction to copper loss, the loss in the windings.

https://karutadoujou.hatenablog.com/entry/basic/yougo/ - this one primarily uses 相手陣 but uses 敵陣 in the definition of 相手陣 and in one other definition
https://honto.jp/article/chihayafuru/16.html - this one only uses 敵陣
https://karutalife.sakura.ne.jp/glossary/word.php?w=a0001 - this site only defines 相手陣 but uses 敵陣 in its definition and in the diagram
The official rules page mentions neither 敵陣 nor 相手陣
  Comments:
Maybe 敵陣 can have a competitive karuta sense since it already has one for shogi? I wonder about 自陣 since it only has one sense... but it would be nice to have a competitive karuta sense there as well imo

As far as I can tell as a player both 敵陣 and 相手陣 are used abundantly and I can't tell if there is a difference in their frequency of use. However I can't think of any reliable way to check this since of course 敵陣 is used plenty outside competitive karuta unlike 相手陣.
