| Refs: | Sankoku and Daijs give no source word. I have barely any knowledge of the chinese sound system. The jawiki entry gives this: 福州語で「タイピンイェン」と読む, but タイピンイェン can't be used as the source word. So we at least know it's fuzhou chinese, which seems to be quite different to standard chinese from a quick online search. I didn't find an entry for 太平燕 in the few free fuzhou dictionary resources available online. And while you could just look up the pronunciation of each individual part and put it together, there is no guarantee that there's no compound pronunciation change. This is what chatgpt gave me: 太平燕 (Tâ̤ibìngīng) Maybe someone else knows better than I do. . |
