| Comments: | Notes at 頭頂部. Trying to figure out how to give some indication of usage between the two. Looking at various data, it appears that "vertex" and "parietal" are both adjectives in the anatomical sense, and a whole raft of terms are simply using 頭頂 as a prefix, without の. This term most definitely can mean "top of the head", but it seems you'd only use it that way in limited contexts. I'm not even sure what those contexts would be. sankoku tags 頭頂 as [form], but 頭頂部 quite clearly is not. If you're talking about pain or baldness, you should use 頭頂部. |

| Comments: | Just browsing from an unrelated 野良 encounter. "unauthorized app", especially as the first gloss, seemed off to me (as someone who has done plenty of sideloading and used alternate app stores on Android). "unauthorized" is ambiguous... Unauthorized by whom? These apps generally are authorized *by their users*. I think "unverified app" captures the language the Apple or Android would throw in your face when you sideload something: "This application cannot be verified by... you may be at risk ... blah blah blah". "The certificate on this app cannot be verified...". "smartphone application not distributed via an official app store" is practically the definition of "sideloaded app" these days. That can probably lead. |

| Comments: | Reading the notes, it seems we already know this term is out-of-fashion. We don't usually add [dated] to 10-year-old terms, but if it's an out-of-fashion colloquialism... Entry should be clear that this is for feature phones (pre-smartphones) Apple coined "app store" with the iphone, so a feature phone by definition could not have downloaded apps from an "app store". Wikipedia article on 野良アプリ supports the feature phone/smartphone switch in terminology. I'm sure there was a period with overlapping usage. To be clear on terminology, smartphones are still mobile phones. "feature phone" encompass anything with installable software prior to the smartphone. |
