My first reaction was to disagree. Daijirin, GG5 and all the other JEs put the nausea sense first. Then I looked at the Tanaka examples and 4/5 were for the irritation one and the other is ambiguous. Then I looked at a sample of the non-dictionary WWW pages, and they indicate that the irritation sense is more common. I think what you have done is most likely right.

all of my refs redirect to ほんとうに instead of 実に/じつに
まことに is a bit formal (sankoku: "「本当に」の改まった言い方。") and often used by businesses or equivalent (as seen in example sentences of kokugos and gg5)
i've also adjusted the glosses to reflect this more
i don't think しんに should be here as the nuance is quite different
真に is pretty much always read as しんに
there's also a separate 実に/まことに entry but it seems cleaner to have all the kanji forms here

we have 3 other entries with the meaning "oracle bone script". the others don't have any bracketed disambig stuff/expl's and I don't think

  Comments:
I'm certain the "slideshow" part is completely wrong in this entry too like it was on イメージビデオ

イメージDVD is equivalent to イメージビデオ on a DVD

however, these are sold so they must have something in them to be worth the money (i.e. not exclusively promotional use by companies), and the answer to that most certainly is グラビアアイドル
wikipedia is next to nil on details and youtube has few useful samples, even the videos that are promotions for these DVDs rarely show any actual content from said DVDs

this is the best I found:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1R-7UnvYqE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpcGIbSppig , particularly the latter half where the girl is walking through a tropical garden

this is the equivalent of what I know as "idol video" or "IV" (both are japanese terms, not widespread in the west)

getting off topic, but the メイキングビデオ that wikipedia mentions as a 'sub-category' is a video of a photo shoot (a second cameraman who uses a video camera to record the photo shoot) that is then edited and put on a VHS or DVD and sold; the 写真集 is sold separately

so, I'm certain these DVDs have women in them and that they are not slideshows but otherwise I'm hazy about their content. if someone knows better, go ahead and suggest something...

The magic line from the second ref is:
ソーシャルゲームの拡大に伴い、スマートフォンのゲームはすべてソーシャルゲームと呼ばれがちです。
"With the expansion of social games, all smartphone games tend to be called social games."

I asked two Japanese 20-something guys. They immediately recognized ソシャゲ. Defined as "isn't that just a mobile game?". I explained that it was originally for games on facebook/etc.. They said "what?!, you can't play games on facebook". Kids these days.

Looking closely at ソシャゲ lists, it's easy to confirm what chatgpt insists on: there is a narrow expanded meaning that gamers use, where ソシャゲ refers heavily to modern gacha games (as well as Pokemon GO, which is also free-to-play with in-app purchases), and a *super broad* "ソシャゲ=mobile game" meaning.

Regarding [2] I think the term "social game" in English is now so dated/vague as to be useless for translation. A "social game" in 2025 is a board game.

As far as I can see, as farmville-like games got native apps, ソシャゲ stuck as a category even on smartphones, and then as more native apps got developed, ソシャゲ expanded to cover them as well. Doesn't even strictly require "multiplayer", the origin of "ソシャ" (confirmed with several modern games). Chatgpt suggests that the "social" aspect of these games has itself moved to social media (people talking about their gacha pulls, etc), but this is no longer a mechanic of the game itself.

"free to play" is doing a lot of work here. This commonly indicates a game that likely extracts money from its players through advertising, loot boxes, gatcha mechanics, and other in-app purchases, all of which are commonly associated with ソシャゲ so far as I can see. All the games in the second ref are gacha games(except for Pokemon GO). Not all of the games in the 50-game list are gacha, but they are all free-to-play with some kind of monetization mechanics.

offline free-to-play is not ソシャゲ. "online" is needed here as well.

It appears that ソーシャルゲーム still exists and is still a synonym in every sense (unlike アイパー アイロンパーマ)

Follow the link for a reasonably detailed response, if interested:

Is the use of "squad depth" marked when discussing sports in the United States?
Yes, the phrase "squad depth" is somewhat "marked" in the United States, meaning it sounds slightly foreign or specifically British to an American ear. While it is perfectly understandable, it is not the primary way Americans describe a team's reserves.

https://gemini.google.com/share/d76f57eebb49
In American sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL), the terminology usually shifts depending on the specific sport:
1. The Standard American Terms
"Roster Depth": This is the most direct equivalent to "squad depth." It refers to the quality of the entire list of players signed to the team.
"Bench Depth": Very common in basketball and baseball. It refers specifically to the quality of the players who do not start the game.
...
  Comments:
I wasn't going to say anything, but I actually had a dream/nightmare about this.

"Squad depth" is, if technically comprehensible, quite unusual in American English. "practice squad" is a term, but outside of that we don't use "squad" that much to begin with for sports teams.

I don't like leading with a term that would be awkward in AmE if there is a neutral alternative. If a "deep talent pool" is sufficiently generic, that seems better, even if its nobody's favorite.

This would be a great candidate for marking regional variations on the English gloss side. It would arguably be worth noting the sports as well. i.e.:
having a deep bench (esp. baseball, basketball)
having squad depth (esp. soccer, (association) football)

You basically have to be a native speaker to have any chance with these glosses.

層が厚い stands alone, but this collocation is itself idiomatic, quite common, and has a variety of sports-specific glosses

LLM suggested "having squad depth" which seems to be fine BrE, but is unusual to an American. The others are natural to me.

騎馬像 seems to be the standard term, the Japanese wikipedia article uses it.
It's also found in translations of certain monuments (e.g. サン・マルティンの騎馬像).
On top of that it's in GG5.

.
  Comments:
Was this encountered somewhere? That information/context would also help.

I cannot find this in any other dictionary available to me, apart from saito.
Note that Saito is now more than 100 years old.

I don't think it hurts to have this as a [rare] entry with an xref to 騎馬像, for which I'm going to propose an entry now.
