The proof is in the pudding: "prospect" and "outlook" are not used:
https://context.reverso.net/translation/japanese-english/見晴らし
view: 65
prospect: 2
outlook: 2

The prospect examples from reverso are:
"The hotel has a good prospect. " (I would call this an error, unless it's from an old text)
and
"So then quickly, the comfortable walk has to do with the fact that all animals seek, simultaneously, prospect and refuge." ([dated, or extremely literary])

Eijiro gives "outlook" and "prospect", but all of their example collocations that use them are essentially unintelligible (to me) in modern American English. "a delightful prospect" is an opportunity, for example. "a delightful outlook" seem to refer to a positive and optimistic view on life".

https://eow.alc.co.jp/search?q=見晴らし
  Comments:
It seems this term is non-figurative, and refers to a scenic view that is literally "pretty to look at"("a room with a view"). Both "prospect" and "outlook" are not commonly used in this sense in modern English, I don't think. Instead, they strongly suggest a figurative meaning ("outlook on life", "prospect for future success") that does not belong to this term.

The entry is clearer without them.

As an aside, my grandfather lived on a road called "Prospect Drive". I always thought "prospect" here meant "business opportunity"(or was from something like "gold prospector"). Just now I realize that the road was at the peak of a hill, and the name must have referred to the view. I really had no idea.

it seems useful to me if it's a common misreading, pixiv also has a "wrong reading of つつもたせ" x-ref
having said that, i disagree with "no point in hiding incorrect readings"
someone could plausibly find 美人局, don't understand what it means and look up the intuitive reading on dictionary apps
if we have it even as [sk] they'd be redirected to the correct entry instead of no results (i do think [ik] is fine here though)

Beyond Japan, the term has come to be used to describe a commonly pornographic genre of eroge, manga, and anime, which includes characters that show primary sexual characteristics from both females and males.[1] In today's language, it refers almost exclusively to characters who have a female or overall feminine body, but have both female and male primary genitalia (although a scrotum is not always present, while breasts, a penis, and a vulva are). The term is also often abbreviated as futa(s), which is also used as a generalized term for the works themselves.[2]

  Comments:
Aligning provisionally with the xref.

I read the notes, I see we kept the GG5 gloss, and that there might be nuance differences. Perhaps for women, they're just indecisive, not merely about love. In that sense, the GG5 gloss is better.

But I don't think this and the xref should be translated in isolation. Either the translations should be parallel, or there should be an explicit identification as to how the nuances are different. Otherwise it just looks like we've made a mistake, and the user learns nothing about the nuance of either term.

If the old GG5 gloss is preferred, I'd suggest doing something explicit with the note. Maybe something like:

[note="compared to the orig. 男心と秋の空, there is a broader implication that women are fickle in general"]

If you google "A Woman's Heart Is As Fickle As", you'll find the more literal

"A Woman's heart is as fickle as the autumn sky".

I think I prefer this one, and it's closer to the original. Google finds it in the 1985 ザ・ニホンゴ, 石川島播磨重工業株式会社

Encountered in a context where male protagonist asserts 風評被害 from the comments of his female interlocutor's sister. A bit tongue-in-cheek I'm sure.

Current wikipedia entry directly challenges the "dictionary definition"(辞書的な意味) of being chiefly financial, and says the term is far more broad. This could easily reflect the growing importance of the internet and the online reputation of creators, influencers, companies, etc...

"reputational damage" is now super-common in a google search in English.

I get that this is a dictionary but why make it so lackluster and short. I don't think it was too long or complex, and it is most likely fitting because I doubt this word is used outside literature.

いずれは
1. [exp]
▶ eventually
▶ ultimately
▶ sooner or later

History:

  Comments:
It's really the same as sense 4 of our いずれ entry (sooner or later; one of these days; someday; before long; in due course; eventually), but as the Reverso and other examples show, いずれ + は seems to be almost always for that sense.
I'll fix a couple of sentences for いずれは.

とんでもない has a range of meanings - 4 senses in 中辞典, and this expression could be any of them. I don't think this is safe as an entry.

Not sure this works as an entry.
As in the English, アイ+プロテクション can mean several things - protective glasses, avoiding bright lights, gases, etc.
