| Comments: | Sorry for the delay as always. I've read all comments on entries for the last couple months, this is the only one I'd ask you to possibly reconsider. (Too bad about おもろ, but I take the point). To be very clear, my edit here had 0 to do with 問題ナッシング. The xref here was just bookkeeping. I encountered ほころびナッシング in the wild. I checked jmdict to understand why the character might have said that. My search for "ナッシング" took me to this entry, which did not explain anything. (never mind that the only sense here is a [noun] sense, and this wasn't a noun usage). I agree that seeing the "問題ナッシング" explains the issue *if* users can see it. That's precisely the problem. Many dictionary apps (including jmdict, by default) will include *prefix* matches, but won't include suffix/substring search on a term that has an exact match. I only found 問題ナッシング because I went out of my way to check as part of suggesting this edit. The only way to fix at is to add the sense here. And I don't consider that a hack/workaround. I think the entry is legitimate. It's attached to a couple of common collocations, it's appeared in recent mass-media, and it is tossed around casually by native speakers online with random collocations. I'm perfectly happy to mark the term [net-sl] or [rare] even to dissuade its deliberate use. But unless my understanding of the sense is just completely incorrect, an entry here would have been helpful for me, and would no doubt be helpful to others. |

| Comments: | in entry 不知火/1583560 an edit with the following comment: "since [ateji] means "contains ateji", can we interpret [gikun] as "contains gikun"?" was accepted in https://github.com/JMdictProject/JMdictIssues/issues/143#issuecomment-2398846443: "we really only need to state in the documentation that the [gikun] tag only applies to all or part of the kanji in the term and not the inflecting part in kana" while i would prefer a more advanced kanji [gikun] tag, i personally don't think it's problematic or confusing in situations like this (for example sankoku pretty much doesn't ever specify the gikun kanji) and seems to me more helpful to have than not |

| Comments: | Strongly recommend splitting ちょう and はらわた. It seems like 腸 = ちょう = a medical term "intestines" はらわた, probably [uk], seems like a more colloquial term for a person's innards, and is used metaphorically much like "guts" is used in English (as seen in the many はらわた expressions at eijiro). sankoku gives *4* senses for はらわた, and exactly 1 for ちょう (消化器の... ie. person's intestines). |

Japanese, haha. It is like joking word cuz it sounds just like “short time no see” as it were. It is not formal but it makes sense especially in younger generation |
|
| Comments: | [1] Should point at 久しぶり[2]. Seems apparent that the greeting is the more common usage, so [1] and [2] have flopped from 久しぶり. In the (anime) context I saw it, the whole phrase さっきぶりだね could have been cleanly translated as "hello again"(the characters having met a few hours prior). The actual translator went with "we meet again". I find very little support for 先ぶり with kanji. I think "hi again" or "hello again" both work. "さっきぶりですね" is valid (with です), so there is some mixed formality here. |
