It never was here. It appears in GG5's gloss (〔腰かける〕 sit (down); 〔正座する〕 kneel on the floor; 〔座・地位を占める〕 be seated; take a seat) to indicate to Japanese users that 座る  can have same English translational eqivalent as 正座する.

I think this very literally describes the "to kneel (on the floor)" sense:
Sankoku: ①ひざを折り、足の上に腰(こし)をおろして席につく。
「たたみに━」
But I agree that having it last is probably better.
The (on the floor) just indicates that it doesn't necessarily have to be "on the floor".

I'd argue that these glosses are quite concise. I don't see how having one word less on these glosses provides an improvement in terms of understandability.
Having these "gloss extensions" in brackets behind the "main gloss" is in my eyes an efficient way of providing more semantic coverage in less words.
I.e. "to sit (down)" = "to sit" and/or "to sit down", both of which are intransitive. One of them is just a more specific phrasal verb.

Let's put "nursery school" back and leave it. The terminology varies a lot - what Americans call kindergarten we call "prep", etc., etc. In general "nursery school" seems to fit 保育園/保育所. Encountered as さかて, "turning-tables" sense.  Online refs suggest さかて dominates in modern Japanese.

Conferred with young native speaker.  4th-year male college student was incredulous that this would *ever* be pronounced ぎゃくて.  I asked "even in judo?"; he didn't think so, but he wasn't a judo student either.  He conferred with another friend, they agreed that ぎゃくて sounded erroneous.  This matches NHK's study from 1990, plus 35 years of change. 

I know we don't like stacks of glosses, but [1] and [2] are materially different, and [1] usually gets its own kokugo entry.  Google "逆手 鉄棒" and you'll see gymnastics, pull-up bars, children's playground equipment, etc.  Quite common for what it is. [2] exists, but not so common, and critically the xrefs are different.  The sword-sense [3] has a particular affinity with さかて(daijs, sankoku, NHK) and must not be read ぎゃくて, so cannot be combined with the others.

"Backhand grip" is ambiguous in tennis.  I tried to find a definitive mapping for tennis, even watching youtube videos.  Most common is a two-handed forehand, where 逆手 indicates the relative placement of the hands.  In the video below, it's a two-handed forehand.  Can you have a forehand with a backhand grip?

I removed "unexpected twist" from the figurative gloss. It seems misleading and very situationally dependent. Perhaps if you're the victim of having the tables turned on you? Doesn't seem supported by the kokugo definitions, or appear in any other refs.

I pasted 100 yourei results into google translate in 50 came back with some variation of "use to one's advantage" or "take advantage", and they all looked quite apt.  The situations were diverse, not merely reversing a deliberate assault.

The 4th-year college student I asked about 逆手 confirmed that this does not necessarily have to be an attack from another party. Could be a general negative situation.  When life throws you lemons...

While the glosses I've added are quite similar, I think they're both useful.  Not everyone can easily derive one structure from the other.

with a vpn set to japan and on a new incognito tab:
- 熟女 results are overwhelmingly non-porn
certainly they have a more suggestive character than e.g. 美人, but even scrolling a bit there's really not much porn
- "milf" results are 70% porn and even the non-porn results are way more explicit than 熟女
