If an editor agrees, then we can set up the split. Splitting entries is one of the more tedious chores we can perform on the database, and it might involve re-indexing Tatoeba sentences, checking for links with audio files, fixing entry cross-references, and carefully reviewing the referenced dictionaries. This is tiring, so we'd rather avoid it if it's not a major improvement. If an entry has already been reviewed and approved within the past few years, there odds are higher that the entry is fine as it is. This entry can be improved, but I think it's fine to keep it merged. |
