By the way, the new box on the "next" page which restricts the text to my screen size is a great benefit when checking one's submission. It save scrolling back and forth. The benefit of minor changes is again proven!! |

| Comments: | I'm comfortable with either. At present there are ~20 at the back and ~40 at the front. J-L's new ones would add another 12 or so to the front. The database's default is not really the issue, as it can be altered with a click (not that I search much by gloss.) |

| Comments: | I think "(constellation)" for this and all other entries should come at the ~end~ of the first gloss, not the beginning. Not only because it's tidier and more consistent, but also because the default search for JMDict is "starts with..." |

| Comments: | sorry, just remembered there is a present form too, -まう it's in 名古屋弁辞典 as "やってもらう、やってしまう" and 大阪弁普及会's list as まう (for しまう) I think the past tense is much more common though. "やってもたん" 1,170,000 results "やってまうん" 22,200 results "いってまうわ" 1,840,000 results "いってもたわ" 22,600,000 results "殺してまう" 931,000 results "殺してもた" 6,520,000 results though again the number of hits seems way inflated. |

| Comments: | "differential coefficient" is a really, and I mean *REALLY* obsolete way of saying "derivative". I cannot find it anywhere but in 19th century calculus textbooks. So even though the Japanese word 微分係数 is still used today, I don't think that the literal translation is appropriate. But nonetheless, I'm hesitant to remove the second gloss. |
